Maintain Originality - 2007 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary

What should be considered to maintain originality and value for a 2007 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary CSM No 07XL0196?

Is it possible to increase HP that would be similar to a factory option (605 HP)? If so, how and can the car be represented as original (a factory upgrade done after the fact)?

Thanks,

Mark

If you want more "Go" go ahead and put a larger supercharger (or pulley) on.  Keep all the original parts and it can be returned to factory configuration later if you want.  But if you're thinking that doing the mod is going to change a 500000 car into a 50 car, it won't, because it'll never be a 500000 car. At least not in your lifetime.  So if it brings you joy, do it.

Send it to Vegas and let Shelby mod it with the documentation.  I don't think you would hurt value at all.  In fact, it may increase the value over a stock 40th.

Agree, go with either FRPP TVS or 2.8 KB. Both were offered on the 40th program. If you can’t send it to SAI, you could send Steve the info to have owner mods added to the registry.
