Mongoose Posted May 28, 2019 Report Share Posted May 28, 2019 Hey guys and gals, as we all (Honor and celebrate Memorial Day today), here’s a little history on it that I didn’t know! My wife just read an article on the “History” of Memorial Day! It all originally started out to be a day set aside to “Honor” all the soldiers that had died in our Country’s (Civil War)! It was first called “Decoration Day” and it was originally celebrated on May 30th. In 1971 it was changed to “Memorial Day” , and it’s now celebrated on May 27th!
