mhr1961
I don't think this was posted on TS yet, but it was posted two days ago on the Shelby Facebook page. Jim King passed away June 15, 2018. I met Jim on two different occasions while touring SAI in Vegas. Had conversations with him after tours and he was always nice and was a wealth of knowledge on Shelby history. RIP. Don Johnston
This is distressing news as I visited for hours with Jim every year since he started at SAI. Very sorry to hear it. Any official obit?

WYTSNKE
So sorry to hear about Jim's passing ... we just took the Shelby American tour on June 5th when we were in Las Vegas celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday, and he was our guide (first time I had the opportunity to meet him). I enjoyed the tour in large part due to Jim's personal experience with all things Shelby (including Carroll) as well as his incredible attention to detail when describing the vehicles in the collection. My most sincere condolences to Jim's family -- he'll truly be missed.
Helge Ruchelski
Very Sad to hear this! He was an amazing man with a wealth of knowledge. He once picked me out of the crowd because I was wearing a GT-H shirt and talked about the program for a long time because he knew everything about it. RIP Jim!
