John Canfield
Just passing along the news that the supercharger for the 5.2 CPC Predator engine for the new GT500 has hit the net. As well as monster brakes. I'm passing along this link to Mustang6g as they've had the best coverage on this: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2087059#post2087059 Edited December 12, 2017 by falcongtho3

mfield2a
Huh...interesting. I'm totally shocked that they went to a supercharger, it's kind of a step backwards or no more than what's out there already aftermarket. All were thinking EcoBoost. Maybe that explains why the current Super Snake does not start life as a GT350.
JeffJ
I would about 99.9% guarantee however that this is not the FPC 5.2, but probably based on the the current A52XS engine. Probably going to be in the 750 hp range.
Secondo
+1, not FPC and will be 755HP per the easter egg gauge picture.

svtkeith
755hp would be awesome AND change the front end and I'm in.
ViperNC
Supercharged.... that one is a surprise to me. I was betting on an eco boost V8 since Ford is pushing twin turbos these days.
Secondo
Direct Injection and the new design TVS 2650 supercharger was just released this year. We usually don't get too many goodies like that at once, turbo on the V8 may be coming as the next improvement in another 5 years or so. BIKEBOY
The document seems a tad harder to believe however....... why is there a 2020 model year doc with Shelby GT350 oil specs, when the car is “purported” to be done after the 2018 MY? Guest markham51
Based on the size of those brakes I think it is going to have 1,000,000 HP
Don Johnston
I think the engine bay design and suspension setup makes the decision for the supercharger over a twin turbo V-8 set up. The Eco-Boost 3.5 6 sits sideways and is limited to larger width engine bay as in the E and F series Fords.
ViperNC
Based on the size of those brakes I think it is going to have 1,000,000 HP ONE MILLION HORSEPOWER! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jimmy Sak
Based on the size of those brakes I think it is going to have 1,000,000 HP 20" rims, big brakes , and a whole lotta HP. It sounds like a factory Super Snake to me, we shall see if they are priced as such! lol
