As one who is tempted to bring along golf clubs, fishing rods, etc. curious if anyone else is considering the same. Apparently there are some very nice golf courses near Carlisle and a Sunday round is something I'm kicking around.

That could be an interesting addition to next years program.

There would be no room in trunk for me!!

But I am not a golfer either

I want to thank everyone who attended this year. It was awesome!!!!!!

A special thanks to Z-man and the guys at HOD. Without them it wouldn't have been possible.

Let us know what you liked the most and what we need to improve upon.

My favorite was the moving car show!!!! 50 Shelbys on a 100 mile cruise. At times I had a hard time concentrating on the road ahead because I was to busy looking at the never ending line of Shelbys behind. Getting stuck behind the truck painting the double yellow lines for 10 miles wasn't ideal but it was still great fun.

I hope you enjoyed yourself and do it again next year......and bring your friends.

My boys and I had a GREAT time at Summit Point, the Charlestown racetrack, Gettysburg, and Carlisle! Bill, and everyone else who worked so hard for months to pull off so many fun and different planned events over the course of 3+ days, we sincerely appreciate the effort...it was definitely a special weekend to remember. The event lived up to and even exceeded our expectations!

Thanks again to everybody at Team Shelby, Shelby American, the Foundation, and anyone I may have inadvertently missed.

Matt

Carlisle took some nice pictures if you want to look through them.

Some pretty nice photos there, and a lot of them feature Team Shelby members, our cars, and our events.

Cool!

I posted this on Facebook yesterday, but wanted to repost it here as well.....

Where do I even start???

It's been one heck of a past few days. Road racing, horse racing, Poker Run, Civil War battle field, Grand Entrance, proclamation from the Mayor of Carlisle, Charity auction, Red Carpet walks, 3000+ Show cars on display, awards, and TWO prototype Super Snakes.

But more importantly, I got to spend the better part of the past week with well over 100 of my closest Shelby friends. Some I hadn't seen in a year. Some I had worked with for almost a year on this event, but had never met face to face until last Wednesday night, and some new friends I only made over the past few days.

We celebrated the true spirit of Carroll Shelby, and I would like to think we would have him proud, and maybe even made him smile once or twice.

There are so many folks to thank. Fellow Regional Director Bob Zinzell, for bringing Hooked On Driving to run the track portion of our event. State Directors Walt Mayo, James Brewington, William Wild Bill Evans, Dave Mustang Sheppard, for their many, many hours of hard work. Virginia Regional Directors Nickie Armstrong and Bill Hale, and possibly the most motivated Team Shelby member I know, Justin Emanuel.

Tracey L Smith and Scott Black, your support and guidance is invaluable. Gary Patterson and Sam Trout, it's not a party until you guys show up. Jenni Shreeves, thanks for bringing "the good stuff" for the auction. Please let us know the final tally when you add it up. And many thanks to Bex Russ, our new Shelby Girl, for being sweet and charming all weekend (I get the feeling that we will be seeing you again in 2018...by popular demand!)

Speaking of 2018, someone asked me how long we relax before we start planning next years event. I just smiled and said "We started brainstorming ideas a few months ago".....and wait until you see what we already have in store for next year!!!

Put the first weekend of June in your calendar now, and invite a friend to come join us and have some damn fun....I know I did.

I was telling someone that I get giddy when I see three or four Shelby's at a car show, so to say I was overwhelmed at having 50-60 all around is an understatement! Nice to finally meet many of you in person and I look forward to next year's event! Thanks again.

Congrats to the Northeast chapter for putting on a great event!

Thanks for the compliment, but it wasn't just the Northeast Region who helped produce the event this year. In order to make it a full East Coast National event, we teamed up with the South Atlantic Region. They helped tremendously, especially at Summit Point, Charlestown, and with the Poker Run/Cruise. It would not have been as successful an event as it was with their help and support.

Thank you South Atlantic!

Here is an article that Bex Russ, our Shelby Girl, wrote and submitted to Shocker Racing about her experience at the Team Shelby East Coast Grand Nationals last week. Shocker liked it so much they published it on their website.

Please check it out, give it the highest rating, and vote for "Our Girl" in the Shocker Racing Calendar contest (its at the top of the left hand column, right next to her article).

Way to go Bex!!!

Dear East Coast Grand Nationals Participants,

Great news! I have finished editing your images and they have been uploaded to my website! Directions on performing standard actions and using my website functions, can be found on the website (www.amayzingphotography.com/FAQ).

Thank you very much for bearing with me on the delay in getting all these images sorted, edited and uploaded. Within the East Coast Grand Nationals 2017 gallery on my website, you will find three subfolders. One folder will contain the final images from aMAYzing Photography, another contains images that Bill Caron took himself and the third contains the event logos for your use in the collage photo option, should you choose to create your own custom collage print. I tried to sort the race track images I took by the main car in focus in an effort to make it easier for you find your track photos. Please forgive me if something is slightly out of place or if there were multiple drivers of the car. Bill Caron’s images should be in chronological order from the whole weekend’s events, including everything up in Carlisle. Happy viewing!

As stated during the banquet Thursday night in Charles Town, 20% of the profit will be donated to the Carroll Shelby Foundation in the name of Team Shelby. If you would like a larger, canvas, metal or acrylic print please let me know, as I do offer those items. For those products, I like to confirm and verify photo selection with the client individually. That extra communication step there is to guarantee a quality end product. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns about the website or the higher end products.

**PLEASE NOTE** Your images will only be accessible on the webpage until July 11th. During that timeframe you will be able to purchase your products, so do not delay! Almost all products on my website are fulfilled directly by the professional print lab, MPix Lab.

I had to attend a graduation ceremony in Virginia. On my way back North on Sunday, I saw a bunch of mustangs traveling South on 81. Saw a nice Vista Blue KR around 10:30 in the morning headed south on 81. Anyone here ??

T-shirts are selling fast.

One is on its way to Mexico and two are headed to Australia!

Only two smalls left ( for smaller kids or the petite Team Shelby members), and about a half dozen XL.

Once they are gone, you will be out of luck, as we will not be printing a second run.
