Just started hearing what sounds like noise from input shaft bearing when idle in neutral. Noise goes away when clutch is depressed. I don't have any of the other symptoms described like clutch drag, hard shifting...in tsb 08-16-4. Anyone familiar with this? Thanks -Mark Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mr954 Posted April 12, 2018 Report Share Posted April 12, 2018 Ford told me it was my clutch starting to go, different mechanic who races cars says he thinks it’s the input shaft bearing. Same noises you describe. My clutch still grabs and no other symptoms...07 gt500. So I don’t need a new clutch but apparently it’s a labour intensive job to do. 5 hrs of tranny removal, 2 hours of bench work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
