kyarnelli
If my brakes get sprayed with water the rotors instantly turn to rust. Is there something I can spray on the rotors so they dont rust so easy?

patrickshelby
Of course I am joking. Do not put anything on them, you will ruin the pads and have no brakes anymore. Even brake cleaner won't prevent rust upon drying. What I do if I store the car after cleanup: Wipe them dry as much as possible or blow compressed air on them to remove "most" of the water. Let them dry rusty. Drive the car a short distance while applying the brake gently. Blow compressed air and wipe the rims with a soft rag. Store the car in a dry area. cobraracing
Coated rotors help a lot but as Patrick stated, go for a cruise and blow dry

EL SHELBY
Even if there was a safe coating you would burn it off as soon as you went for a drive. Some brands add a paint or zinc coating to help prevent rust but the surface coating is burned off at 1st use. The remaining coating protects the veins of the rotors. You can apply wax to the caliper to reduce the collection of dust. I do this with my Brembos. Leave the rotors alone.
