Punch it and hold it to redline before you shift.

If you have time to watch your boost gauge, it's not getting boost!

I don't need my boost gauge to tell me when it hits...I just know from my head being pulled into the back seat.

As others have suggested, check the bypass valve vac lines and movement of the actuator

As well as,, suggested,,, the BELT itself.. present, not slipping

look for lots of black dust on the pulleys and idler which may indicate slippage.

look at the belt itself for signs of slippage.

Listen for signs of belt slippage, like chirping at start up, or when you step on the gas.

It's not what you see or hear, it is what you feel at the bottom of your seat that will let you know if it is working!

Yeah, if it's brown, slippery and it stinks...You're getting boost!

I have a 2007 Shelby GT500 that I bought in 2006 new and in less then a year my boost guage went. Ford had to replace the super charger because its built into the super charger. That's the only way they can fix it, since it's attached to the super charger as one unit! GOOD LUCK!

???/ Huh?

Think there was some miscommunication going on between you and the dealer, or some shenanigans with that dealer.

The boost gauge measures the amount of engine

boost provided by the supercharger in pounds per

square inch (PSI). The instrument cluster receives

the boost gauge data from the powertrain control

module (PCM) over the high speed controller area Indicator

network (CAN) communication bus lines.

The Super charger in no way had to be replaced if the boost gauge was malfunctioning.
