TEAM SHELBY FORUM

Hello everyone

Recommended Posts

I have been lurking on the site and reading for a while. I have a wife and two daughters 10 y.o. and 9 mos. I own a 2005 mustang gt stock except magnaflow exhaust. I plan on purchasing a gt500 in a couple years. Need to make sure the economy stays together. My hobby is drag racing atv''s in dirt or sand and we race 300ft. My best 300ft time is 4.54 seconds, 1.58 sixty foot at 68 mph. I have a 700 based yamaha raptor. It's now 843cc (108mm bore x +8mm stroke) drag ported head +3 titanium valves, CP 12.5 to 1 compression, 58mm TB and 40-50hp shot of nitrous. The bike weighs around 320-330lbs (guessing). Here is a few bikes of my race bike hope you enjoy.

Thanks everyone. I have read and learned alot.

This years racing season is coming up. The atv should be around 120hp and 90 ft/lbs tq at the rear wheels. I'm hoping I can get down into the 4.0-4.2 range at around 80 mph. My sixty foot should be in the 1.4's once I can get the bike set up properly. It's a fun sport but yes it can be dangerous as I crashed end over end at 55mph two years ago. And the wheelie bar is staying it would be like a top fuel car racing without a bar. LOL... Here's a couple pics after the crash. The last pic is a xray of the plate and screws in my wrist. I was out racing 3 months after my crash.
