39Mustang
Disappointing not to see a Ford racing at 24 hours of Daytona! I guess no Ford at Sebring or LeMans? Why can't a Mustang run in the GTD Class as it runs with those same cars at other tracks Not sure why Ford is gonna stop making the Ford GT when they have more buyers than cars available and its a 50-1 ratio And GM already has the C8 ready for first event and wondering when we will see the GT500 racing in some series? Of the 1350 that were promised, so far they have only built about 600. Production is expensive and slow. They don't want to do this forever. 2. Safety requirements stack up and would require a redesign soon. 3. It's in reality not very popular with its owners. I know two that have set theirs aside and don't drive them because they are too uncomfortable and will wait for the timer to expire and sell them. Practically zero miles. Two famous people in the auto industry to boot... 4. Some people are getting the nod, having been rejected in both go-rounds. This is because people who did get selected have rejected the purchase so it goes to the next in line. Ford made the 17+ GT only to return to Le Mans. The same gods that gave them a BoP win made sure they didn't get any more. They proved the point, just like in 1966+, and exited the arena because they got nothing more in return. The first time Weyer took over the cars, but this time noone was interested. The BoP is killing GT class racing.
