Raptorguy
New to the Forum and could use some help! Looking at purchasing a 2009 Shelby GT500. As an upgrade a Super Snake Super Charger was installed on the motor to obtain the 750HP. This was purchased from Ford and installed by a Ford Dealer. Is this a safe upgrade or does the cooling of the vehicle also need to be upgraded to handle the additional HP? Please help me out. Thanks

Thanks Yes its a safe upgrade if installed correctly and using the s/c manufacturers tune. Upgraded cooling is always nice and should be mandatory if the car is tracked. If the car is driven on the streets in a normal fashion then you can get by without the extra cooling but if driven aggressively on a 90-100 degree day you may want to keep an eye on the temp gauge. And it goes without saying that the highest octane fuel should be used and maintenance should be kept up on. Steve
