Post up if you're interested in joining us for our annual Team Shelby – Pacific Coast Region Christmas cruise. We’ve done this run for the past several years and had a great time. Our planned route is a 44 mile run from Saratoga to the Half Moon Bay area for lunch at the popular Moss Beach Distillery https://www.mossbeachdistillery.com . This event will again include a stop at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford to drop off toys, gift cards or donations. Join us for a great cause and what will most likely be the last local cruise of the season. Although we're hoping for a normal rainy season, keep your fingers crossed for fair weather on December 1st - as the event is rain or shine.

For ease of editing, I’ll maintain the roster of members attending in post #2 below. For an accurate head count, please note if you are +1, +2 and so on. See you then!

Any question, please ask here, or email me at svtnaja.tspcr@gmail.com and I'll get back to you.

Best,

Jim

Here is where we'll be meeting in Saratoga. Let's plan on arriving around 9:15am and we'll head out at 9:45am.

14400 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA 95070 (behind the 76 Gas Station). There's a Starbucks across the street!

Here are the Google satellite and street view images of this location:

Here’s a Google map of the route we’ll be taking, unless it’s dry and we go “over the hill” at Alice’s:

Please count Nascarbilly + one for this one.

This will be our first such event; we have heard quite a bit about this particular cruise.

Welcome, JJZ 109.  It's always a great event, and Jim's got connections with the weather gods.

Indeed! Could not have wished for better weather last year, after the lunch the top went down and drove to Santa Cruz - the next day we did "17 Mile Drive" with the top down again and had 80F in the pygmy forest !

All,

I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!

It looks like we have another great group of enthusiasts signed up for our annual charity cruise to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, followed by a tasty lunch at the Moss Beach Distillery.

I look forward to seeing all of you a week from this Saturday in Saratoga!

Best,

Jim

The Fire Academy is conducting the final skills testing over the weekend.  To that end, I will miss it again.  I will give elkhorn6990 my donation to bring up. Have fun!

Harald,

Thank you for your generous donation to the LPCHS!

Next year we'll need to coordinate schedules so you and Glenda can join us.

In the meantime, I'll post you as an "Honorary" cruiser with the rest of our TS-PCR crew.

Best,

Jim

PS: Chief - Thank you for all you did in your career protecting lives and continue to do training future fire fighters!

The Paradise tragedy reminds us again how much we'll need brave young men and women on the front lines well into the future.

Me and Hunter and Esme will be going.

Also I'll be donating to lucile Packard children hospital online.  Those that want to do it that way can use this link here:

Hi Jim... was just trying to remember what guidance they gave us previously.  I believe gifts should be unwrapped and gift cards that let them shop for what each kid wants we’re highly appreciated.  Does that sound right?

John

John,

Yes, that's correct. Unwrapped gifts and gift cards so the LPCHS staff can provide appropriate gifts for their patients.

See you this Saturday morning in Saratoga!

Best,

Jim
