IASHELBYGT
Even though low miles I think I'm going to replace the 12 year old stock tires. I'm thinking about BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Ultra High Performance All-Season , CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06Ultra High Performance All-Season or HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE2Ultra High Performance All-Season Thoughts - I had Hankooks on my SGT for awile and they seemed like a good all - season high performance tire. Thanks, Dave

Thanks, Dave I very much enjoyed my DWS06's this fall and winter and switched to MPSS for the spring and summer and will switch again in the fall
IASHELBYGT
Thanks Andrew - with the Hertz car I just want a good all weather high performance tire. I don't see myself doing any high speed events with this car, more cruising and travel to & from events. So durability is important to me as well. 39Mustang
There is a tire that no one really knows about and kinda new to the U.S. and its called Nokian. Their high perf. summer tire has gotten ratings right under Michelin so anyone try these yet?

BIKEBOY
Dave, have a look at Nittos. Great tires at a really good price. My vote for what you are needing would be Hankooks or NIttos. Also I’d consider going wider all the way around. It will give the car a meaner stance.
IASHELBYGT
Okay, after consultation with my tire guru (BB) I'm going with a little wider tire 255/50 17 Hankooks. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?gclid=CjwKCAjwma3ZBRBwEiwA-CsblEy0DSJBK97PBrnb4nqBaTcdNVwjHAqCxrZuJp-6Vme4K_Y-IPEZORoCfIEQAvD_BwE&tireMake=Hankook&tireModel=Ventus+ST+RH06&partnum=55WR7RH06&GCID=C13674x012-tire&KEYWORD=tires.jsp_Hankook_Ventus_ST_RH06_Tire&code=yes&src=17540115&ci_sku=55WR7RH06&ci_sku=55WR7RH06&ci_src=17588969&s_kwcid=AL!3756!3!72322456933!!!g!99873174013!&ef_id=WxlTNgAAAFsbqldN:20180621212045:s
noac
I put the BFG Comp 2 A/S on my 2007 Shelby GT in the stock size. My car has very low miles, around 1000 but I wanted to preserve the originals and not take any chances driving on them. I love the new BFG's. They have a great look to them and are more aggressive in appearance than the OEM BFG's in 07. They are quiet and handle quite well. I also never like seeing Nitto etc. on Mustangs. I am sure all those Japan, Chinese tires are great, but they aren't meant to be on American Classics.

News Flash: your BFG’s aren’t an “American” Tire anymore either, around 1990 they were bought out by Michelin (A French owned company).
