LSR Posted May 4, 2006 Report Share Posted May 4, 2006 Shelby GT500, Viper, & Z06 owners will all have in common: 500hp factory cars The news of the Shelby GT500 having 500hp is very shocking. I am still stunned. I have seen several magazines in the past, that had the Viper, Z06, and the Ford GT in comparisons. But now with the GT500 having 500hp, what will it be compared with? Also with the Shelby GT500 having 500hp, if it wasn't electronically limited in top speed, imagine what kind of top speed the GT500 would be capable of. Man, 500hp in the new Shelby GT500 Mustang, will get much respect from Viper and Z06 owners and so on... Also causing envy as well. 500hp is what I wanted. Now it looks as if I won't have to do very many mods. Now I may just do cat-back exhaust for sound. With all this said, I can't wait until I get my GT500 Shelby. And its amazing to think that we have cars with 500 hp on tap today, what will we have in two years when the Camaro and Challenger come out?
