owenkelley
I noticed this morning on Yahoo's front page Ford has an advertisment showing the GT500. When I clicked on it, it went to a page that would switch from picture to picture, and in the text of the ad they referred to it as the "Shelby Cobra GT500." I thought that was kind of interesting, apparently it's not just the "Shelby GT500."
JETSOLVER
Marketing at H.Q. does seem a bit schitzoid these days... Makes me wonder where the direction is coming from.
owenkelley
Well now I'm really confused - In another ad it said something to the effect that although it has Cobra badges all over it, it is officially the "Shelby GT500" Personally I like the sound of "Shelby Cobra GT500" but I guess it doesn't really matter. This car is going to be so awesome they could call it whatever they want - it's still 500 HP and 480 lbs feet of torque with a 6-speed transmission! That's all I really care about! NemesisTG
Did you notice that the GT500 shown in the commercial showed the original style hood? I do like that look better but oh well... TJ
KingCobra
Has anyone seen the commercial with the Ford GT on a road coarse??? I would love to see one like that with the GT500, but unlikely given the cost of commercials, and the limited number of Shelby's to be produced. I'll try to post it. It won't let me, maybe it's too long??? KingCobra.
