Keith Criswell, Director, Shelby Performance Parts, and Sam Trout, Shelby American Logistics Coordinator, will be making the drive out from Las Vegas to participate in the event. What will they be driving you ask???? Well, if you know Sam, then you know he will be bringing the new Shelby American tractor trailer rig, chock full of the latest Shelby vehicles and hardware. I know folks who would attend just to see the new Shelby cars, and visit with Keith and Sam, let alone partake in the rest of the American Muscle Show.

I think you are right! In fact, we are already working on making that happen...one way or another.

The following was posted on the Team Shelby Northeast Facebook page last night....

 

We have just received word from Shelby American that Keith Criswell (Shelby Performance Parts Director) and Sam Trout, will be bringing the Shelby 'rig' with all the latest Shelby models to American Muscle car show taking place at Maple Grove Raceway on Saturday, August 13th. American Muscle is one of the largest Mustang shows on the east coast with over 3,000 Mustangs attending. To show our support for the Shelby brand we’re planning to gather outside the gates of Maple Grove and cruise in and park together as a group. American Muscle does not park show cars in classes or clubs they park show cars consecutively as they enter the show field. In the attempt to try to stay together as a club we will be meeting at Maple Grove Park across the street from Gate 4 at Maple Grove Raceway at 8:30 Saturday morning and entering the show at 9:00.

Please check Team Shelby Northeast facebook for updates between now and the show. Also we will be posting info there day of show if there are any changes.

UPDATE:

 

After talking little bit more with Maple Grove Raceway, American Muscle, and looking at other posts on-line, we have decided to revise our meeting place and time.

It seems a lot of car clubs had the same idea we did, to meet at Maple Grove Park across from Gate 4, then enter the show as a group. With the small size of the park, and the large number of cars that will be there, we didn't want to run the risk of not having enough room for everyone, or having Team Shelby members not be able to find the group.

Our new plan is to meet at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown (6170 Morgantown Road, Morgantown PA 19543). We will meet in the parking lot at 8:00 am 'sharp', and depart for the show at 8:15 am. The drive to the track will take approximately 15 minutes.

 

"Stay tuned" for any other changes/updates as we get closer to the show!

Look what arrived late last week!

 

If we can assume that the first car registered for the show was given #0001, then my car is the 2959th car to be registered. American Muscle said they would have 3000 Mustangs on the show field, and it looks like they will exceed that number by the day of the show!

 

If you are going, please reply back, either below or on our Facebook page, so we can get an idea of how many cars Team Shelby will have attending.
