Where did that new punching bag emote come from? Who invents these things? I want to congratulate them on creativity.

AD, I have a secret stash of emoticons, but I didn't invent any of them. However, I will take the credit on their behalf. :hysterical:

07SHLB,

Glad the insurance adjuster is being good about this. He must be a car guy!

Do you create them? How do you do it? Is it hard (making the emotes, silly :hysterical2: )? Do I ask too many questions? :headscratch:

The Force is strong in his family...

07SHLB, Well at least the insurance is helpful in this time of

The Force be with you Darkside!! Help find him, persuade him to confess :cold:post-8254-1182888554.gif :finger:

Guys,

I am a regular nice guy with a wife and two dogs who happens to get pissed off when bad things happen to good people. When all else fails, I go with what I know and that comes from my training. That just happens to have been provided by the U.S Army. Protecting the good folks of the world from the bad guys of the world is part of our job. Finding people who have the answers to our questions and who will talk is my job. My supervisors have said that I am pretty good at it. Lets just hope they find the guy who violated 07 SHLB's GT500. Then those of us who have volunteered to help can step in and pitch in our $.02

That is when fear leads to anger, anger leads to hatred, and hatred leads to the Darkside.

This makes me sick. I hope they catch the little F'ing A'hole's that did this to you. If they do please update and let us know. My heart goes out to you. A good body shop should be able to fix this as good as new. I believe it's going to cost you all of your deductible, plus. Good luck and keep us posted.

If all else fails...

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...the A-Team.

Another senseless act of vandalism.

It sucks enough when it happens to the daily driver let alone your dream car.

The guy or gal that did that must have a wreath for a family tree.

This is just one more reason to flog :censored: criminals in the town square. :finger:

Countries with that form of punishment typically have much lower crime rates.

Beat that mother :censored: sensless and he won't do that again.

Anyone considering doing something will think twice about it.

I share your pain, although on a lower level.

My wife was at a local casino and some idiot must have lost the farm and took his anger

out on the left side of her explorer.

Keyed the snot out of it and then used the rear qtr as a punching bag.

The surveilance system was off line for repairs so the cops could only take notes.

Good luck and good hunting.

Words of wisdom for sure.

Can we still punch him in the sack if we catch him?

Sorry to see this. Once you get it fixed you will feel better. Color matching shouldnt be an issue on a new car, it should look good as new. I dont understand people that do things like this, that want to shit on everything. Hope you catch the bastards.

First of all, I'm sorry for your pain. Secondly....been there, done that, got the t-shirt. I actually saw the little pricks that threw a chunk of asphalt onto my 3 week old GT500 hood from a railroad overpass! The state cops that investigated were ready to go start bitch slapping every kid with a whitey-T and a dew rag. They were livid.

The bottom line is this; the person that would do it is mentally screwed. They are FAR worse off than you. Unlike you, they have no friends, no empathy in which to find comfort.

Whether it was a kid or an adult (and I use that term loosely), this began at home. No teachings of respect and responsibility.

I've thought long and hard about what I would have done had I actually been able to scale a 30 foot concrete wall and get to them. At the time, throwing their sorry asses off the bridge sounded great. After nearly a year, and much thought, I have come to the realization that the "right" thing would have been to found their parents (if they had any) and held them personally, financially responsible. Hit them where it hurts...badly....and let them take the responsibility for teaching the maggots a lesson.

I sincerely hope you find them/him/her. Make them pay...not with physical violence, but try to find the one or two things that matter most to them...then take those things away.

Now, all this being said, my personal episode gave me cause to have my over the top stripes painted on when I got the car fixed.

Now HERE'S a sick feeling when the car's less than a month old!

Good luck.

Someone with a IQ of 70 and igorant to boot. Makes no sense. Someone sees a car they can never have ... they are very unhappy people so they take there internal rage and vent on someone else.

May that person burn in hell

I can't believe I missed this thread before. Now I wish I would have. That just made me sick. We need to revert back to cutting the hands off the pricks that steal and do this kind of shite. Then, at least we have an idea of who they are and render them less than capable of doing it again.

I hope your baby will look as good as new.

Oh, and I'd look into some legal action against Albertson's if they have cameras out front, but were not operating. What if someone was getting raped or a child was being kidnapped? The store settling on the damages to your car would be a slap on the wrist compared to the bad PR they would get in an incident like one of those.

Ouch that is definately a horror story that really hurts. Why people damage nice cars blows my mind. What I don't get is why the car alarm system market has not come out with car camera's that can monitor your car with a surveillance camera, then you would know exactly who tampered with your car. Then you can open a can of whoop ass on them!

I feel your pain...I remember when it happened to my brand new 1979 Mercury Capri...had less than 300 miles on her and some ass made circles on the silver paint all the way down the left side and then on the hood....I was sick and at that time, could ill afford to have it repainted with Emeron (pre-cursor to clear coat)...I had her re-painted 3 times with regular enamel paint and the paint job would just fade after several months...now they have the capability to make the paint look the same or even better than factory...choose your repair facility wisely.

Good luck!

(Oh, and being half-Sicilian I would have "knee-capped" the SOB who vandalized my car)

Well, the police have all but dropped the case. The cameras out front of Albertsons only reach two or three cars down the parking rows. I was probably 12 back. They saw me pull down the row and walk into the front of the building but didn't see anything else. No other people or cars went through the field of view before I came back out of the store. :banghead::censored::banghead: They confirmed that I was in the store less than two minutes.

I'm focusing my efforts on getting it fixed now. The insurance company has already cut me a check and indicated that they would cut another one if the repair costs are more than the $1300 they gave me. I'm hoping to get it in the shop Monday if possible. I'll be out of town the rest of the week so it'd be nice to have it done, waiting when I got back.

I am sorry to read about what happened to your Shelby; I'm afraid there is some real scum living on this earth. About a year and 1/2 ago someone keyed "bitch" (?) across the door of my pick-up at the college where I teach; when I discovered it the next morning (it happened at night), it was one of the worst feelings I have ever experienced. I wanted to cry, I wanted to puke, and I wanted to kill someone. Then after it was repaired I spent at least a month wondering if some a-hole was going to do it again.

Let us know and show us pictures when your baby and the world have been made right again.

Sorry about what happened to your car! I had something similar happen to me many years ago and also have experienced having my car stolen. Not seeing your car where you left it the night before is a terrible feeling! On the positive side the SOB did not steal your car and the insurance will pay for the damage. I hate individuals who do that to people who have not done anything to hurt them. I personally would love to drop them slowly into a nice tub of “hot boiling cooking oil”, but then realize I too would become the animal they are. Don’t worry, the body shop will have your car looking like new in no time. Unfortunately this is the risk we owners of nice cars have to face when parking one of these things in a public place. I try not to let this stop me from going out with my car as otherwise these individuals would win and would control my life. As long as everything is insured I am “good-to-go”! Enjoy the car and enjoy life!

On a somewhat separate topic, what do you folks think of the basic alarm system that comes with the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500? Here is what Ford claims it does:

“Secure Lock: The standard SecuriLock® Anti-Theft System encodes the ignition key with one of billions of security codes every time you turn off the engine. Without the right key and code the engine will not start.

Active Anti-Theft System: The optional Active Anti-Theft System uses an inclination-sensing module to guard against tow-away thefts, as well as interior motion sensor to help prevent “smash and grab” break-ins. The system includes a separate alarm sounder in addition to the vehicle horn and 60-amp-hour battery capable of sounding the alarm longer.”

Also to remember is that if you add (or change) another alarm to the car it could very well void your warranty with Ford. This is true of any modifications to the engine also! I’m currently looking at adding a GPS security system to my vehicle.

that is sickening to see :barf: this post reminds me of a discussion last night at a local car cruise. a bunch of us guys where talking about how cruise ins have changed through the years. a lot of guys do not even bring there cars to a cruise in because of disrespectfull and jealous a holes. a few years back people would respect other peoples cars but not now (watch out for the new generation of disrespectfull a holes). the worst is parents that watch there kids less than a person that watches a dog. they just let there kids go at the cars with there paw prints and the parents will only stop them if the owner of the car is looking, meanwhile the f#$% parents have a smile on there face. i personally just go to a cruise and just sit my ass next to the car as most other guys do. i will never forget that night at a cruise in my buddy just finished his 57' chev belair with a fantastic paint job and someone at the cruise keyed his quarter panel. he got so pissed off he put the car for sale. later he never did sell it and calmed himself to repair it. i feel for you buddy and all the best. try not to ever take a great car anywhere where it is not in site. i know that you cant watch it 100% but i hope we all try our best.
