rheller
Hello, friends: During travel to Pittsburgh, PA from New Hampshire, I took a road stone kick up to the hood, which put a minor scratch in my white stripe. Thankfully, it did not dent, but it took off a very small piece of the stripe and revealed the red hood paint below. It's small, but noticeable. I don't want to use white touch up paint, nail polish, or decal. Is there some other product available for touch up that will not affect the paint below? Thanks. mrfarmdog
Not likely. Unfortunately your best bet is to replace the stripe or live with ithe Pulling aged stripes opens up a whole new can of worms regarding matching your other stripes. Luckily though what might actually be more forgiving than other colors. I would try color matching samples to see how close you can get. rheller
I ultimately decided to order "Performance White" touch up paint from my local Ford dealer. I'll go with that. Boy $18.80 for a tube of paint seems steep, but what the hell, eh?
Dr_Whoovie
I have had rock dings hole my stripes at the front of the hood. I have used white plasti-dip to repair it. Not perfect, but good from a few feet away. Plasti-dip peels off again very easily so no lating mark on the underlying paint.
