justin emanuel
Has anyone custom painted their hood vent to match their car. I was wondering if I could paint the plastic vent to match the color of the car and how does it hold up. If anyone has pictures can you please post them as a visual aid. 1 Alibi 2
I bought an extra vent & had it painted to match my stripes. Have seen several different vent treatments on other sites, most common is the have the stripes run through the vent area. Not sure I've seen one painted to match the color of the car. . Capt500
I had mine painted 3-4 years ago to match the body color. I had a body shop do it, along with my side and rear valance pieces. Makes the care look much better IMO. I believe the bill was $350.

MTYQIN
Justin, As an alternative, you might consider looking at True Forged (the wheel guys) web site for their custom built heat extractors. All metal construction, painted to your specs (mine is body color (black) with brushed silver mesh on the vents, with it all clear coated. Pretty nice product, and a direct swap for the OE plastic piece. Good luck with the mod, Quinn
