Exec/Licensee cars

In both 2006/2007, there were a number of the GT-H's which were not rentals, but went directly to Hertz/other execs. Will the same be true for 2016? If so, will they be above and beyond the 140, or part of the 140 build? Will there be any manual cars like the 4 in 2006 and the 17 in 2007? Same with the car that was shown and will be sold at auction. Is that a Prototype CSM number, or one of the 140 build? Might as well get this history on the 2016 started!! Need the info! :happy feet:

Saw in another thread that the auction car CSM is 16H0001C. So the concept car. I assume that is not part of the 140 build number? So 141 total so far or are there others?

Also saw on a few pictured on FB yesterday many cars completed. They all had standard wheels. Will that be how they are rented so the concept car had Shelby wheels but the rentals will have standard Mustang GT wheels?

Hertz has publicly announced 140 rental cars will be available. Please understand that the specifics of the GTH build are controlled by Hertz and it is they who will decide what info is released to the public and when.

And yes the concept car is not part of the previously announced 140 rental cars.

Only cars that have been marked complete by SAI and accepted by Hertz should be looked at as a "completed car".

So now we are up to 141 , is there one more out there to make it 142?

Of the 140 built, are they all identical?

Do any have different options?

Final official word of all production has not been given yet as SAI has not been approved by Hertz to put out official information. Not sure why that is now that they are all done, but we do know the final number was at least 171. I believe that 171 is the final number. There are 15 or 16 executive cars with superchargers and 6 speed transmissions. We know that 0012 is an executive car since he is a member here who has posted, so can assume that 001-0016 (maybe 002-0017, not sure if 001 is an executive car or concept). I would assume that the remaining 154ish rental cars are all identical. We do also know that #0018 was rented here, so may be the first of the rental cars.

Steven, any idea when you can get us final stats?

Regarding the cars that went into actual rental service, no they were optioned identical.

No idea when Hertz will give the ok to release build info although I've been told that some Hertz employee's have told friends, family, potential buyers this info. Perhaps when Hertz starts selling these cars in larger numbers they would be willing to release the build numbers. I'll look into this more after the Shelby Bash.
