twobjshelbys
You can get the engine block and heads, but not the FPC PR type article: http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/news/a27469/ford-performance-parts-shelby-gt350/ SVT Performance article http://www.svtperformance.com/2015/11/30/new-products-gt350-5-2-liter-engine-parts/ Ford had stated in a SAE article that the engine would not be available as a crate engine due to the probability that massive failures would occur (both as engines and as frustrated buyers). There is much more to "balancing" than just the engine balancers. E.g., take a look at the exhaust. But the 5.2 with a Coyote crank ought to be pretty impressive on its own. I think you're probably on your own for the ECU though.
Larry T
It should come when more time has passed ... I am excited to see what gear heads can create from an awesome platform.
twobjshelbys
I seriously doubt it. If you doubt me then explain away the presence of balance weights on the exhaust past the cats. (These are going to give some serious heartburn to the aftermarket exhaust guys.)
twobjshelbys
And now for the rest of the story... There is a 5.2L crate engine, sans FPC, using the original Coyote crank, built from these parts: http://www.stangtv.com/features/pri-coverage/pri-2015-inside-ford-racings-new-5-2-coyote-crate-engine-a52xs/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pri-2015-inside-ford-racings-new-5-2-coyote-crate-engine-a52xs So you can't get the exact engine that goes into the new GT350, but it looks like the one you can get is better and alot easier to integrate than the vibration-happy FPC. mikeljgt500kr
I would bet you get better low end torque too, as the FPC is a torque weakling.
Secondo
^ 429ft-lbs and 11-sec 1/4 mile times approaching 120mph with no power adder or tune is no weakling.
