Eddie0909
I am considering a 2014 Shelby GT and am debating going with the basic brake upgrade, or the 6 piston package. The car won't be tracked or even driven "hard". Does anyone have the basic upgrade and how would you rate their performance ? OR should I not even consider the basic upgrade and go with the 6 piston package ? Thanks
gtup1
I upgraded to the six piston extremes and love them overall but in the big scheme of things cost vs benefit it is totally your choice. I will share with you though were I to do it all over again, I would not. If your not tracking the car you might consider upgrading to braided stainless brake lines and a set of Hawk or EBC pads, you'll get increased brake feel and a little firmer pedal and a quite competent street set up for a couple hundred. Going the all out route will cost thousands and really doesn't make huge benefits for daily street driving unless you are really aggressive. Like I said it's balance of cost vs reward. Just my two cents.
