2011 Black Svtpp Vert Now Living In Colorado

Hi guys. I'm the new owner of a 2011 GT500 (damn I like saying that), black vert, SVTPP, 25k miles. I bought it from a dealer in New Mexico who had no history on the car. Maintenance pages all blank. It was titled in Fla. So, I don't know much about the car. It did have a 4 pt roll bar at one time - the mounting plates were still on the car. Aside from that, I don't think there are any other mods. First mods I'll make will be to fix the wheel hop issues. More on that later. Looking forward to many years of awesomeness!

Moved to the GT500 arrival forum. Welcome! Are you in the metro Denver area? Pretty active around here with the Colorado Shelby Breakfast Club and Shelby's have a huge presence at the Rocky Mountain Mustang Round-up every Father's Day in June in Steamboat Springs. Lots of activities for Shelby owners around here!

Thanks for moving the post Jeff. Yes, I'm in Broomfield.Aside from this one, any suggestions for other local Shelby or Mustang clubs?

Shawn,

I'm just west of Brighton, so quite close to you. Here's some info on the local clubs that I am in. Colorado Shelby Breakfast Club is pretty active and tries to have events every month. Here's the web site for CSBC: http://shelbybreakfastclub.org/

I've been with the Denver Mustang Club since 1989, so quite some time. We meet every second Friday of the Month at Phil Long Ford down south of town, but it's really not to far. We have a great time and do many events all year long. http://denvermustangclub.com/ We also race at every Club Clash event held at Bandimere Speedway through the summer and have a great time.

I'm the treasurer for the biggest Mustang show in Colorado every year held in Steamboat Springs every Father's Day Weekend in June. The Autocross for this year has already sold out (sold out in 22 hours after the web site opened 1/1) but the entire event and show is a great time. The largest classes are the late model Shelby classes. This year's event includes a day of drag racing the previous weekend at Bandimere Speedway during the Fun Ford Weekend event.

Hi Shawn,

Congrats and welcome to the Shelby family!

As Jeff states, there are many fun things to do in the metro area. He mentioned two great clubs. We are having a Shelby breakfast club meeting this coming Saturday at Aspen Grove on Santa Fe, followed by a tour of the Forney Museum. We are also having a detail clinic in April in Boulder at the SA Museum. It's all on the website at shelbybreakfastclub.org

The RMMR is not to miss, also the Wild West Auto Festival. Huge, well run car show!

Thanks for the info Jeff and Barry. Supposed to have a foot of snow Saturday, so I'll probably miss the breakfast club this weekend, but I'll plan to attend the event in April. I've been to that museum before - great place, awesome cars. By the way, the new Avery brewery is not far from the museum - might need to make a pit stop. :shift:
