How Loud Will An Off Road X Pipe Be With Stock Mufflers?

I can accept it being loud, but not to the point I can't stand driving the car. I feel a "muscle car", should be slightly obnoxious, and the exhaust note should be "felt", and not just heard, especially inside the car.

I don't want the "open pipe Harley" ridiculousness sound though.

Thanks!

1. I assume you don't have headers. Be careful, an off road X-Pipe with the headers can get really loud. Eliminating cats really opens it up.

2. Even without headers, it's going to sound more raspy and louder --- for sure.

3. I know you are asking about a GT500. The Shelby GT did come with an X-Pipe but not with high flow cats. Just the big canned cats...so not nearly as loud but a very good sound, nevertheless. When I installed headers, a high flow catted X-pipe, and FR500S mufflers on my Shelby GT, it got super loud and I love it!

4. I've heard some folks say off road pipes generate stronger exhaust odors too.
