I need a little help determining the market value on this car. I am the third owner I purchased CSM#07ss0508 9/21/12 from my brother after he had some medical issues and needed to sell his car . My brother purchased the car from Sandy Springs Ford in October of 2011with just 1153 miles on it . He had it built by Shelby Vegas on 9/23/11 . It is as follows:

07 Super Snake Black coupe 800 hp conversion

orange brakes (Yellow) ,polished Liq Cooled Kenne Bell s/c Eibach Suspension & 1/4 window scoops with Kicker mats

Alcoa Wheels with tire sensor

Added Interior package with orange inserts

Perforated seats $2199.00

added aluminum cooling system $2995.00

Kicker Stereo Prem $ 1649.00

Watts Link $1500.00

Eibach Suspension $975.00

White Ball Shifter $350.00

Rear Brakes in Orange $3995.00

Total package price from Shelby $41,320.00

After purchase the car was sent to LD's Performance in Atlanta and the following was added :

Front Drive shaft Loop

Tunnel Brace

Auto Meter Wide Band

Duel Adjustable Panhard Brace

Upper Third Link

Upper Support Bracket

1.25 Lower Springs

Adj. Struts and shooks set

A Jounce rebound Kit

Lower control arm relocator kit

Pan Hard Brace

Kooks off road X pipes

Long tube headers

front swaybar braces

Oil sept

Escort 9500ci passport

Ford Racing Corsa Mufflers

Over axel pipes

Pro Dyno Custom Tune

RWHP 727 at 16 lb.boost

I have all the documentation on this car including all work and Shelby invoices.

The car currently has 11,849 miles on it. Most are highway miles .

Car is in Immaculate shape and has never been raced . As surprising as this may sound my brother was never a car guy and had the car built on a whim !

The original Pirelli P Zero are on the car with lots of life on both the front and back.

The car has been maturely driven and well maintained .

I have owned many cars mostly old classics but this car is by far the most awesome piece of machinery I have every experienced .

This one is most likely on the high side, but you get the idea. Search around for others and use the average.

Lets see if we can get back on track to helping MrBass.

MB, in my opinion the best way to determine a selling price is to calculate what it would cost for a potential buyer to duplicate your brothers car. Currently a buyer could probably pick up a 2007 GT500 w/12k miles for around $35,000 and have a SS package added to it (including additional cost options) for another $41k which comes to a ballpark subtotal of $76,000

Now if you advertise the car for $76k many buyers would likely pass and have a SS built on their own but if you were to price it below $76k buyers would have more interest as they would be saving money over having one built. Also the buyer wouldn't have to wait for SAI to build them a SS, not having to wait has value to many buyers of used Super Snakes.

Now the above numbers I'm using do not include the work performed by LD's shop. The work performed by LD's should add some value but only if the potential buyer is on the same page with those changes. If a potential buyer wants a car with only Shelby installed parts then the work by LD's would have no value to him but if a potential buyer wants more than a normal SS build and doesn't care who installed the parts then obviously LD's work would have value to that buyer.

And most importantly is how quick do you need to sell the car? If there is no rush to sell the car then you can aim high and hold out for the right buyer but if the car needs to go right now then you'll need to price the car so that a potential buyer will do the deal right then and there.

Best of luck.

Steve
