robertlane
1. Ukraine won't acheive NATO status because of the disputed territory Russia now has. 2. The E.U. is broke and dysfunctional. 3. You're going to have to convince NATO and/or EU countries to commit troops to move in against Russia? For what? The Ukraine? German, Italian, French citizens, etc. are not going to buy it. 07SGT
One thing that should be remembered is the Russian/Ukraines HATE the germans from the atrocities of WW II. Those feelings have not faded over the years. After what the Germans did Stalin ORDERED, or at least authorized, in pamphlets to the Russian soldiers, telling them to avenge what happened in Russia and to basically rape and murder their way across Germany. So the Russians also committed their share of atrocities. But neither side, nor their children, nor their grandchildren have forgotten.
