Doug's GT500
I am going to paint my front calipers so, I need to jack the car up to place jack stands under it. My question is If I use the Ford recommended lifting points for my floor jack, then how do I place my jack stands on the same lifting points? Are there other temporary lifting points? Thanks! MTYQIN
Doug, There is the frame rail running front to back on both sides; that's what the jacking points are cut into. I just position my stand alongside the jack and lower onto the stand. Never had an issue. Good luck with the paint project. All the best, Quinn
ilmor
I jack mine 2007 up and then place floor jackstands under the lift points shown on this "Pre-Delivery Procedure" http://home.comcast.net/~kjobrien/Vehicle_Lift_Points__S7Z06A12.pdf Also see additional info on this thread: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php/topic/62211-2011-jacking-lifting-instructions-from-ford/?hl=jackstand&do=findComment&comment=1086888 I'm not positive that all S197 years are the same. Hope this helps
