As requested...from the current registry... GT350. E70x15 tires. Shipped to Yates-Stevens Ford (St. Louis MO) 5/23/69. Freight bill dated 5/23/69 from The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Co. identified this car as one of 15 Shelbys shipped from Ionia MI via C&O-Belfast-N&W through St. Louis to dealerships C.O.D. Purchased by original owner John W. Hobbs (Maryland Valley OH). On 6/13/69 the seatback was repaired, there was a short in the lights and a rattle in the dash. Mileage was 528. On 7/17/69 the headlights were adjusted, the weatherstrip on the left door was replaced and the tailpipe was tightened. Mileage was 2904. On 8/29/69the shift linkage was loose. Mileage was 4489. On 9/4/69 the left quarter extension and panel were refinished, the weatherstrip on the left door reglued and the blue stripes on the right fender were replaced. Mileage was 4421. mikeljgt500kr Posted June 9, 2014 Report Share Posted June 9, 2014 One common theme in the new registry for the '68s and '69s is the long lists of poor factory QC and fit/finish issues on the cars.
