Norton
I visited RWR Motorsports today to get my MGW Shifter and Stainless Steel (Clutch & Brake) Lines installed. Rob, Yvette, and their team provided GREAT service. They are a class act! Technician Shawn Smith, who did the work, repeatedly escorted me into the service area so I could take pictures of the parts and process. I only had my cell phone camera with me, so the photos aren't very good, but I think you'll get the idea... He started out with the shifter. As has been pointed out previously, the OEM shifter is pretty flimsy. MGW, OTOH, makes a QUALITY piece that it's a shame to "hide" beneath the console and under the car. He moved on to the SS Lines I got from Van which, again, are far better quality that OEM. I am cautiously optimistic about my 1st-2nd grind issue. It SEEMS to have been solved (or at least largely mitigated), but will have to see as I get used to the new shifter... When the work was complete, we did a baseline dyno pull... 642RWHP / 621ft-lbs - Not bad for STOCK (w/JLT CF Intake and Airaid Filter, but I'm not sure those count as "performance" mods)... 2010KonaBlueGT
I visited RWR Motorsports today to get my MGW Shifter and Stainless Steel (Clutch & Brake) Lines installed. Rob, Yvette, and their team provided GREAT service. They are a class act! I'm real glad to hear you're happy with them. I've sent quite a few to Rob after talking to him quite a bit and getting a feel of his experience and his work. I have to get up there myself to get some dyno time in for a baseline. Norton
Thanks, guys. Phill, yours was one of the recommendations on which I relied when I chose to visit RWR. That being the case, thank YOU too!
1 Alibi 2
Looking good Norton. For a " stock " motor, those are extremely strong #'s. My 14 recently base-lined at 585 corrected, no one will accuse my tuner of having a " generous " dyno.
JeffJ
Nice numbers. I need to get my car back to RWR for some tuning work once I get my new converter and drive shaft in.
Norton
Thanks, guys! The folks at RWR seemed as impressed as I was with the dyno pull. They said they've dynoed about half-a-dozen 2013/2014 MY cars and mine's numbers are among the best they've seen (from a "stock" car).
