GT500-2007
I was at a show the other day and was looking at a 1998 Roush Stage 2 Mustang fitted with the old style m112 SVO/Ford supercharger. This is the one that sits under the throttle body/intake manifold. As I was looking at the front of the engine I noticed a gear sprocket, about 6 inches in diameter fitted to what I think was the main pulley at the front of the engine. There was a tube like sensor, maybe 2 inches long on the left side, almost like a small timing light, pointing at the gear sprocket. There was a wire running to somewhere but I couldn't follow it. Anyone have any idea what this setup is. I don't see it on a regular GT 4.6 and the owner wasn't around to ask. I thought someone on here may know. 07SGT2899
Its a manual timing adjusted. I had one made by steeda on my 2000 GT. It moves the crank sensor and trigger wheel outside the timing cover. It makes it like an old car with a distributor so you can manually adjust the spark timing
