Jer,

Hi, my name is Hans Heinen. Looks like we are coming to Vegas! We are transporting with BobZ. I am planning on booking our rooms for the Spa Casino and the S.Point. I called the S.Point and no group set up as of yet. Is this in the works? I know you said it was being figured out but should I and many others just book our rooms anyway? They have many vacancies now but afraid it will fill up fast. Also, would you recommend coming to Palm Springs on Saturday or Sunday. We are def doing the Run! Can't wait! Thanks for the info!

Does anybody know if we can purchase more tickets to the Gala and dinners once we arrive and pick up our packets in Vegas?

Also, we are bringing our son, he's 11. We have gone to Vegas many times but leave him with the Grandparents in Cali. He really wants to come with us. Are all the events located outside of the Casino Floors and are kid friendly? I promised him no gambling!(ok, maybe a little)

There hasn't been any final details for the agenda for the Shelby Bash yet that I know, that info is only known when they make the registering available. I think the Galas and dinners that you maybe able to book would be for the MC of America events. You would need to check their website for the 50th celebration. As for your son,I wouldn't think that there would be many ares that he couldn't go,most events and shows seem to be in areas that age shouldn't be an issue, unless you plan on taking him to the Playboy Mansion!!! Lol!

I hope that if you do bring him he really enjoys all the fantastic cars that will be there!

I can only speak for the Shelby Bash portion, and we are focused on this as a FAMILY event. Nothing we've been considering up to this point has any age-restricted component.

Jer & SS Junkie,

Thanks guys. I thought it was ok for kids. My son loves the cars and goes to every show with us. I know the situations with the 50th with MCA and their schedule of events. We are going on the run from Palm Springs and wanting to attend the festivities on the 13th there. Can't wait to sign up for it when it posts on here. Hopefully soon! I know, we are all busy! Will there be a sign up for the run and the Sunday's festivities before the run? So excited, can't stop checking! Thanks everyone! Looking forward to meeting you, Jer, and all the rest of you like minded fanatics!

So, to be absolutely clear, what you're telling us is, no women that are morally bankrupt....such as myself? :drop:

I totally hear you!!! I also keep checking regularly for the next instalment........the Bash registration! It is soon far away but getting closer!

The Trouble & Strife (English Cockney word for Wife!) will be in Phoenix from March 31st and are heading to the Bash start at Palm Springs as well from there. I know this is going to be a fantastic time for all who attend!!!! Look forward to meeting up with you as well as the rest of the "gang"!

Wow, a lot of work has gone into making this happen. Michael, you have done it again! My wife and I are certainly looking forward to participating this year. Our 07 GT500 40th is currently at the SA new facility where it is in the final stages of the wide-body modifications and then it will go to the speed shop for some major suspension mods, 3:73 rear end and last but not least a upgrade to a Kenny Bell 3.6LC supercharger and other fun componets. That should give me enough HP to ensure I can keep up with the traffic in LA where the average speed on any given day is about 40 mile per hour!!!

A friend asked me why I wanted so much HP and my response was "because you can!" God Bless America!

Now that the Rolex 24 is done, I can dedicate more of my time to the Bash. I will once again be working with SA and staff on the car show Wednesday morning at the new digs. I will need some help however with check in the morning of, and parking that morning since my wife will not be there until Thursday. If anybody would like to help with that, please let me know as I'll be looking for volunteers from those who do not stay out too late Tuesday night! :kookie::hysterical:

I'm planning on trailering the GT-H out to Vegas from Colorado via I-70 on Sunday the 13th right now depending on road conditions.

Jeff,

We're heading down I-15 past the I-70 interchange on the 13th. Maybe a meet south of there somewhere?

Cove Fort is right at the I-70/I-15 intersection. There is a Chevron gas staton/rest stop there that I always stop at for BR break and snacks.

Just beyond that on I-15 is Richfield (2 exits) and then Beaver. There's a great little Chineese food restarant in Beaver just off the freeway (to the left headed south) next to a truck stop that would be a good meeting place too.

Or at the In-n-Out in St. George Utah!

Phill (I travel that stretch WAYYY too much!)

Everyone,

We are closing in on the pricing and availability for the 2014 Shelby Vegas Bash tickets… I'd predict an announcement by end-of-week.

Just a heads-up!

Beaver used to have a liquor store that was named, well, go ahead and guess. It had closed at one point but looks like it might be open again.

And right in Vail, I have a client who's store is right beside Beaver Divers! No joke, google it...
