Im so confused is there a bazillion events going on at once... can someone break it down for the short bus kid.... I bought my shelby bash tickets... I got my hotel reservation in palm springs... reservation made at south point hotel and spa, and need to register for the MCA so I can do the track day event am I missing anything else? Ill be at every event I can make from the 13th in palm springs to the 17-18th in Vegas. One question hopefully someone can help with... I notice on the track day events a SA5 or SA10 helmet is required.... I cant seem to find the reference for this. I have several DOT/SNELL helmets but dont see anything SA5 or 10...

cbrbear, since you're posting in the MORE topic, I assume that you are also wanting to park with Team Shelby during the 50th event out at the speedway. You cannot sign up to park with the group as part of the MORE program if you are not already registered with the MCA 50th event. So do so quickly, as the last opportunity to sign up and park with us is Friday. You need to be registered with the 50th event and then send Harald your information so that you can be part of our growing group! :)

With less than a week to register for the 50th in Vegas you still have time to participate in the M.O.R.E. program. I will be providing the final list on the evening of March 14 as the 15th is the deadline to get it to MCA. I want to give myself an extra day.

Your parking credentials will be in your 50th registration packets and they will be available at the host hotel, Mandalay Bay, Island Ballroom. Please visit the MCA "50th Mustang Celebration" Vegas site for additional info on pick up times etc. My last visit the times for Registration pick-up are as follows: 4/16-12pm to 6pm, 4/17-8am to 5pm, 4/18-8am to 5 pm, 4/19-8am to 12pm.

If all works out, I am planning to have a TS member car trailer parked within the area for a central meeting/greet spot & shade (Thanks JeffJ). MCA staff still trying to figure out parking configuration so trailer is not a guarantee. It would display a TS banner. Either way, bring your chairs to meet and greet and hang out for a while. We have just north of 90 cars registered. I think we will hit 100 at least for some of the days.

Any questions please email me at hgk5400@aol.com or PM me.

And another gentle reminder "you must be registered with the 50th event to participate in the MORE program". This has nothing to do with the BASH registration!

Lastly: Once the final list is verified by MCA staff, I will remove all mailing addresses and send everyone a copy of the list via your email for networking/meet purposes. Most likely this will happen next week. Only info will be name, TS name if applicable, phone # & email. If you do not want to be on the networking/meet list email me and I will remove you from the networking list that will be distributed.

I pm'd you and it finally went through last night. I think your box was full. Please tell me you have us on the list 3 GT500's. If you need the user names for the other two TS MEMBERS let me know thanks.

Ts names would be great.

Thanks everyone for making this happen. We are at 102 cars total. Most likely not that count daily. The final list is with MCA staff. If there are any concerns conveyed from MCA about your information provided I will contact you via email. I will also send out via email a list excluding mailing addresses for your use as networking/meet tool most likely some time in the next couple of weeks to give MCA staff time to validate everything.

For those that missed signing up for the event in Vegas and Charlotte the on-line registration has reopened. You have until March 31 at 11:59pm. However, sadly the MORE program is not open. I have not received confirmation but I hope to have a Team Shelby trailer at the MORE parking area for a central meet and greet area. MCA staff has not confirmed if the parking area will accommodate but I will try to have this happen. JeffJ has offered his car hauler if approved.

Anyone know if there will be a canopy or anything TS members can gather in for shade and a nice meet and greet area? That's gonna be pretty brutal if there is no shade for 3 or 4 days out there. Or is everyone responsible for bringing their own shade?

I'm bringing a Shelby canopy. I think it's a 10x10. With so many people I want to make sure I'm covered.

See post 101. JeffJ has agreed to use his 24' car hauler with escape door as a central meet a great & shade area. That said, MCA staff cannot confirm yet if the parking will accommodate the trailer. Jeff will have it available and I will continue to work on this. Tents must have 25lb anchor weight at each leg and any damage is the responsibility of the club according to MCA. Not sure if they will regulate canopies with the 25lb leg weight as well. Its in the MORE information on their website.

Guess I'll leave the Shelby canopy at home. I do have 4, 25 lbs sand bags but was planning on taking 4, 5 lbs canopy weights. Didn't want to lug 100lbs of sand on this trip. Better pack a good hat. Thanks for letting me know. I would have been pissed if I was asked to take it down.

Agree on the wide brim hat and sunscreen. I will work hard on trying to get the approval for the trailer in the TS MORE area. It's all about the parking layout. Charlotte TS MORE will have one but they are also susceptible to rain which they think may happen.

Other option is to bring the canopy with empty sand bags. I would think sand could be found around the facility if I recall. I am bringing chairs with umbrella. We are getting close.

There are a few of us going up. Maybe if we each take a bag it wouldn't so bad. Good idea to take them empty.

I saw where you said the TS trailer will hopefully be able to be there if MCA can accomodate it. I didn't know if there was enough shade as I don't recall seeing the TS trailer before. I will probably just see if I can join in on someones shade because I don't think I'm bringing a canopy and 100lbs worth of weight. And bringing a lot of sunblock as well! At least in the MORE parking, if we get tired out throughout the day we can come and go as we please. This is going to be a great time! I am planning on going to lunch at the cafe by the speedway if the wait isn't terribly long. Would be cool to have some TS members go to lunch as well.

WildAzCat,

You'll find way more sand than slot machines in Nevada... Same is true of sunshine. Bring your canopy and empty bags.

PS: If you're lucky, you might need the empty sand bags to haul all that silver home from the casinos...

Yup! empty bags are easy to transport.

Yea. Well according to the Bday website it says opening ceremonies are scheduled for 11am on thursday. So what time is everyone planning on getting there to get parked? Maybe 7:30 or 8am? I agree traffic is going to be terrible getting off on Speedway.
