Kevin Patten
Really Tom ? Worried about getting your car dirty ? We have a green light - GO - RED RIDER - those kids are having a tougher time than having to clean a dirty car and they could use some holiday cheer ( along with some presents ) to lighten their load of hurt . I'm with Jim - we will deliver ! P.S. - I'm letting redneckgt drive my GT500 and the wife and I will be driving the convert - so I'm OK with having to clean 2 cars if needed . Fat Boss
Conga line from Morgan Hill up to Saratoga again this year? Fat Boss? UfNavy06? I'm likely down for this. Still trying to work out if I'll have a guest and related details. Tom, It really is a game time call. When I step out of the house on Saturday morning about 7:30, if the street is only damp... the Boss LS is coming out to play! If it's raining and water is running in the street, you'll see me in a Taurus. lol Either way, it's about the kids at LPCH and getting together with other Blue Oval enthusiasts to enjoy the day and share some Holiday cheer over lunch! Jim Holy Cow am I going to show up in a plug in hybrid? There goes the neighborhood. I believe in JIM - he's never steered us wrong and he has the connections with the man upstairs Trend analysis on Jim's runs suggests it's going to be just fine and we can bust out the Mustangs! Ufnavy06
Well where/when in Morgan Hill do you want to meet up? One of the guys come to find out also has a Shelby so sounds like he's bringing that and we're meeting up in Marina around 8:20. Haven't heard from the possible third. Andy, After having to get DD a jump for his 68 GT500 in HMB a year or so ago, I'll remember to bring a L O N G extension cord for your new plug in hybrid... 08jester
Jim, Yes it appears after watching the news this AM that rain should be ending around 6am in our area even if our roads aren't wet there is a good possibility of encountering some black ice and wet roads in the hills. Scott has made other plans so we won't even be able to make it with a DD.

Surfergeek
Morgan Hill Crew, want to meet at Starbucks parking lot in the Target shopping center off Cochrane Ave? Meeting in Marina at 8:20 means we could meet at Starbucks around 9:00? The backroads may not be the best bet for cruising up the same route we took last year off a fresh rain, you thought we tossed a lot of rocks last year, this year would be nuts? Andy Thoughts? Fat Boss
I'm good with a 9am start time. That was a fun trip last year! Let's go 101 to 85 this time. Which car I decide to drive will be determined by the stars, or at least the clouds.

Kevin Patten
THANKS Jim and ALL who attended ! JC has retained his "ideal weather conditions" status for the TS-PCR cruises as the sun was out and HMB was cold but clear skies ! Perfect score ! You just got to believe in JC ! Fun time ! (CHP did give redneckgt , FatBoss and myself a flashing drive by warning on 280 on the way back after the luncheon)
Bookwyrm
Had a great time and perfect (if cold) weather. Everyone at the hospital seemed happy to see us and the goodies we brought them too. Here's a shot of everyone lined up at the HMBBC before we headed in for lunch. Thanks again to Jim for a great job organizing everything! Edit: actually got it to post a smaller copy of the pic this time. 1.17MB is an awfully small size limit! SVT NAJA
Today, Team Shelby – Pacific Coast Region’s NorCal members got together for a CSF inspired charity cruise and holiday lunch event. Although the weather late yesterday threatened to washout our plans, the wet storm blew through overnight and left us with blue skies and dry roads. After enjoying hot beverages from Starbucks, our group departed Big Basin in Saratoga and made its way north several miles on the S.F. Peninsula to the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Palo Alto. We gathered at the front entrance roundabout where we got a group picture of our local TS-PCR family. We then entered the lobby where the LPCH staff greeted our arrival and security stood guard over our Blue Oval fleet just outside. Our first order of business before placing our toys, gift cards and donations under the LPCH Christmas tree, was to properly “top it off” with a Shelby ornament. This provided another group shot opportunity. At this time, I learned the son of a member in attendance received crucial medical care at LPCH - a real confirmation of why we were there! We were then off to the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company for some great food, camaraderie and holiday cheer. It was a beautiful day on the coast! I want to thank everyone that came out and joined us today for a great cause. Seeing some of the young patient’s in various stages of healing passing us in the hallways reminded me why these children were so special to Carroll Shelby, and now the CSF! I wish you all the best of health and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in 2014... Jim
