lbj
In what order does one place the internal parts in the Shelby oil separator. Top to bottom, should be O ring Course screen O ring Fine screen or Course screen O ring Fine screen O ring or O ring Coarse screen Fine screen O ring or some other order? Thanks. Jimmy Sak
Hey guys, this may be a stupid question, but does the outlet of the blower go to the "high pressure small port" on the sep? Just curious as this would have the logo upside down?
Colin1966
I added the Shebly oil separator on my 09 passenger side, currently running a little test to see if the Shelby screen/O ring setup works as good or better than JLT's new filter. msb64
Oil capture is part of the function, but it is also important that the separator not be too restrictive, and allow excessive crankcase pressure to build up. You would need something like a vacuum-pressure guage connected to the crankcase to test that part out. I think that with either brand you would have to keep an eye on them to make sure they do not fill up too much. The speed of which they fill up would depend on how hard/often you are on the throttle, like at the track or strip.
