Force-Fed
Recently purchased 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with problematic Tremec TR-6060 TransmissionProblems: Not shifting into any gear at RPMs above 4000 and will not come out of 1st and 2nd gear above 4000 RPMs.Guessing on Issues: ???1. * Synchronizers and/or Blocking Ring (The early ones (07-08) had issues with gear clash. The fix was to replace the synchronizers and in some cases, the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel)2. ** A mechanic pulled one apart and swapped out brass blocking rings(?) for carbon fiber - apparently solving the notchiness problem Alfie on another forum suggested that I might have a clutch issue? Replacements by Previous Owner???: 3 year agoCenterforce Single Disk Clutch, Pressure Plate, Flywheel, throw-out bearing, and pilot bearing. Please help, does anyone know how to fix this issue or has had this issue?Thank you!!! 54First
There are a whole bunch of threads on clutch and shifting problems pinned to the beginning of the Clutch & Transmission section under GT500 Modifications and Tech. The first post of the thread starting with "4th Revision" has a transmission test procedure. If you're OK there, the clutch is the problem. If your not OK, you have a trans problem AND you could also have a clutch problem. Steve
