kenmath23
I have an 08 gt500. I absolutly hate the rear stock calipers. I am looking to get a set of black brembos to put on the rear like are on the front. Are there any concerns with doing this. I am not a brake guy and don't know much about them I am just looking to upgrade the look. I assume I would have to upgrade to a larger rear rotor. Any help would be appreciated. Freak
From what I understand, it'll have to be a custom setup, as Brembo doesn't make a rear kit for the Mustang (at least this body style). I would think a provision for a parking brake would be the biggest problem.
kenmath23
yeah I didn't think about that
908ssp
The axles float in and out so the caliper can't be mounted in a fixed position as the float of the axles would cause knock back that is what it is called when the pistons are pushed back in the boare. this cause the brake pedal to go to the floor and you lose your brakes. Baer offers a a couple kits.
shelby_lux
Hi, If you're mostly looking to upgrade the looks of your rear brakes, have you considered this kit: http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/z-2262019.htm Probably the best if you're not planning on paying 2000+ $ for some bigger rear brakes! Cheers, Gilles
