Earlier this year the Alberta Mustangs Auto Club (AMAC) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada again participated in the Club Display competition with World of Wheels. Last fall the decision was made to have a Shelby-themed display, as a tribute to Carroll.

We would have a full-size car shell coming out of a model box. This "project" was a factory Black 1968 Shelby GT-350 4-speed Fastback. We would have our display stuffed full of Shelbys. There was also a display of 1:18 die-cast cars, matching the full-size cars.

The end result was First Place in the Club Display, with several plaques and a cash prize. As well, each of the 6 cars in the display won "Best in Class" in their class.

We had a mix of new and old Shelbys, including a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, 1966 Shelby GT-350 Hertz Tribute, 1968 Shelby GT-500KR Convertible, 2008 Shelby GT-500 Super Snake Coupe, 2008 Shelby GT-500 Coupe, and a 2008 Shelby GT Convertible.

More details and photos can be found here - http://www.abmustang.com/wow2013.htm . We have a very active Club, and this ended up being a very enjoyable event.
