IA Shelby
Ditch the existing tires. Have Eric Vaughn widen the rear wheels to 11.5 and stick Toyo R888 315's outback. Add in LCA relocation brackets if you don't already have them. Done.
2007tungstenGT500
yep i agree. i had mine widened to 11" and threw on R888 315 and also have control arm relo brackets and now i kinda miss some of the spin.
venem07
thanks not sure if i have those brackets does it matter that shelby lowerd the car 1 inch? thanks
2007tungstenGT500
technically, the brackets aren't needed. i drove my car lowered without them for a little while. also, i don't believe shelby puts them on any of their special edition GT500s. however, they are recommended to correct the geometry of the control arms on lowered applications. they are cheap enough so i added them and i have zero wheel hop. Secondo
If you want traction, the brackets are needed. Especially on a lowered car.

venem07
sorry if this a common topic. I have only been a member for a week. Just looking for help
2007tungstenGT500
i had mine done by weldcraft. you can see the weld seam inside the rim, but it was grinded down to a smooth surface. over time, it's going to turn black from dirt and road grime anyway. in my case, there was no offset change. they simply added a couple of inches of material to the inner rim.
