08krrick
JUST REPLACED THE ORIGINAL TIRES AT 6700 MILES. REARS WERE CLOSE TO NOT PASSING INSPECTION SO I RETIRED ( NO PUN INTENDED) THE ORIGINALS TO THE TIRE RACK IN MY GARAGE. PUT ON A SET OF F1 SUPERCAR TIRES. THERE ARE ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF F1S, SOME COST $357 EA. I WENT WITH THE $ 167 VERSION. INTERESTING THAT THEY PROVIDE MUCH BETTER TRACTION THAN THE ORIGINALS EVEN THO THE NEW ONES ARE RATED AT 220 AND THE ORIGINALS ARE 180 SO THE OLD ONES SHOULD BE STICKIER RIGHT? EVEN WITH THE TVS UPGRADE I CAN NOW GET ON IT IN 1ST GEAR WHERE I COULDN'T BEFORE. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE TEMPS TO GET UP TO 90. LAUNCH SHOULD BE A BLAST AT THAT TEMP. FiaCobra
How did the tire shop make out with swapping the tires ? No damage to the rims ? That's my biggest concern, them messing/scratching the rims.
