South Bay Folks meeting in Morgan Hill,

 

We said we would meet in MH at 5:45 and leave at 6 but I'm feeling that's going to leave the travel time pretty tight. Especially if we're picking up groups along the way. I'm thinking we should be leaving closer to 5:30. That should get us to Sun Valley Mall around 6:45 and into Old Sac by 8:00. Thoughts?

I've received several PM's asking about the cut-off time for signing up to attend Snakes at the Lake, so I want to address that question because I have to plan on having adequate supplies of food and refreshments for those who have already signed up and paid. So here it is...

If the South Bay crew wants to meet at Sun Valley in Concord off I-680, I'm typically there no later than 6am and we leave at 6:15am for Cordelia where we meet the North Bay crew about 6:45am and fuel up. We then leave for OTS 30 minutes later at 7:15am and arrive about 8am for registration handouts. To stay on schedule for Meyers, we need to roll out of OTS no later than 8:45am.

 

The distance from Morgan Hill to Sacto via Concord (I-680) or Tracy (I-580) is almost the same and takes a little over 2 hours. You'd have to leave MH at 5am to make Concord by 6:15am.

No, you're not going crazy. I noticed that too a couple of weeks ago and made the change. Last year's link is corrupted also and now ends in Tahoe City. Go figure? I guess I got Googled...

Carson City - Meet Info and Location for Nevada Members:

Ok, Nevada members will meet this Saturday morning at the Bodines Casino at 5650 South Carson Street at 8:45am and leave at 9am heading south on Hwy. 395 for Meyers via Highways 88 and 89 (which together are an awesome stretch of road) to join us. There will be approximately 7-8 Shelby and Boss coupes (and maybe even a Darth Vader ZL1) on this leg of the run. Here is a map link and directions:

I'll be at Sears Sunvalley in Concord off I-680 at 6:00am on Saturday to meet anyone heading north from the South Bay. We'll leave at 6:15am sharp! Our ETA at the Cordelia Burger King on Pittman Road off E/B I-80 is approximately 6:45am for anybody that wants to meet us there from the North Bay. There are several fuel stations in the immediate area at this location, including a Chevron. We'll depart at 7:00am and arrive in Old Town Sac just before 8:00am where we can grab a coffee at Steamers. Here is a link showing this route and approximate driving times.

Bummers that I have to miss this. I will be doing a run in the 2011 GT350 up the coast from L.A. after SAAC-38 and then up to the Lake before the car ships back home. I will be looking forward to photos of the Cruise.
