Hello everyone

I first want to start by thanking SVT NAJA and Shelbyguy470/and team for the JOB WELL DONE!. We had smoothies with a little go juice. Did I mention the ice cream. First class in my book. Wife and I had a fabulous time at a great venue. I also had an opportunity to meet some more car folks which is priceless.

I want to thank Shelby Tom for his great tour of Emerald Bay via boat. What a way to close out the day! I hope to post some pictures of the event shortly.

I have attached some pictures of the Road Warrior protectant that I had on my car and shared with several folks. You can see the product on post 119. Once I got home I removed the protectant film after using a wet towel to make it damp. While it does look like a Rhino liner on the black car, it seemed to serve its purpose for the longer road trips. It is also temporary which I like.

To that end, back on track, thanks JIM & team for a wonderful day with great cars and people.

Dang, That stuff is pretty cool. Are your stripes painted on? I saw your car at the lake but didn't notice if your stripes were painted. I saw your post about the matte black stripes.....

We started our weekend meeting about 45 cars at Cordelia, Ca. We all drove up in a Conga Line to Lake Tahoe where we drove around the lake as a group. We arrived at a lakeside park for the car show. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s639/kestral200sci/Snakes%20Around%20the%20Lake%202013/SnakesAroundtheLake20131983asSmartObject-1_zps1ad3fb74.jpg I thought the name of the park should be changed when you remember that Shelby and Ferrari were racing rivals. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s639/kestral200sci/Snakes%20Around%20the%20Lake%202013/SnakesAroundtheLake20131984asSmartObject-1_zps3a26a9e3.jpg I believe this dog is owned by the a Camaro owner. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s639/kestral200sci/Snakes%20Around%20the%20Lake%202013/SnakesAroundtheLake20131986asSmartObject-1_zpsca0b8e8f.jpg Lots of really cool and exotic cars were there. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s639/kestral200sci/Snakes%20Around%20the%20Lake%202013/SnakesAroundtheLake20131987asSmartObject-1_zpsdd9fe8fe.jpg Then there was the food. Hotdogs, hamburgers, fruit salad, drinks.

After the car show, Renee and I retired to our hotel. Our hotel at Lake Tahoe was next to an outdoor stadium and the Steve Miller Band was playing, we got a free concert. The next morning we met with our new friend Kevin for breakfast before driving home. All things considered, a great weekend!

Jim, thank you for doing this. Without your work and the work of your team, none of this would have happened.

The BBQ Team was perfect. Really great food and I got a kick out of the electric "train" coolers.

Jim, sorry this took so long, but I finally had time to get this put together. Hope you enjoy. I just moved to Turkey, so I won't be able to see my Snake for a while. Hope all is well.

Austin,

No problem. It's a great video!!! Thanks for posting.

Please stay safe in Turkey. Hopefully, you're not near the Syrian border. When are you scheduled to return?

I should be back for a bit in February, but might be out here until at least the end of the summer. At some point I do have to actually make it to grad school.

The 2014 date for our 5th Annual TS-PCR "Snakes at the Lake" - Cruise, Car Show and BBQ in Kings Beach has been finalized.

We're going to hold the cruise from Old Town Sac to Lake Tahoe on Saturday June 21st.

The purpose of this post isn't to take reservations (that thread will go up on April 1st, no fooling), but rather to allow you to pencil in your calendars if you plan on attending Snakes this year.

This also provides you an opportunity to book a room early if you'll be staying in Sacto on Friday night and/or Tahoe on Saturday night.

Here's a link for Tahoe lodging that you might find helpful: http://www.teamshelb...accommodations/

See you in June!

Unfortunately I'm out for this year. I'll be on vacation with my family. Jim feel free to post this on BMO.

Hey Rick, how have you been?

I'll be making my first one this year....finally....

I have a couple of good excuses, one year, I was the pit (bike) crew & chief cheerleader for my wife's triathlon, the other, I was on the Nurburgring, in my KR!

Tom,

I can see the front of the pack now... :drop:

Count us in--maybe I'll take the Tiger finally--if I can talk the wife into it, otherwise you will have a passenger Jim...haha

Bruce,

With some sunscreen and a good hat, Carmie should be fine in the Tiger! For the return trip - maybe she'll need to drive the LS down the hill... :shift:
