Tgonsoulin
It's time to change out my rear shocks and I'm wondering if I should try something new or stick with the stock ones from Ford Racing that are surprisingly inexpensive? JT93
Depends. Are you happy with the way the car felt with the FRPP shocks?
Tgonsoulin
Yeah, I love the way it rides with the stock shocks. I heard a squeaking coming from the back end and when I looked under there yesterday I noticed the driver side one is beginning to leak. JT93
I am about due to replace my shocks as well, and I'm in the same boat - I like the stock shocks. I would just buy a replacement set and stick with what you know you are happy with. BTW, welcome! There is a lot of great information here, and a lot of knowledgable people! ilmor
I would do the stock shocks again.

Tgonsoulin
I think that's what I'm going to do. I couldn't believe it when he said $58 each. That's cheap!
Jer
I just bought an entire set of the Shelby GT original shocks and springs... FYI.... my car has always handled GREAT. Jer
ilmor
Curious - how many miles are you all getting out of these shocks?
Tgonsoulin
My rear one started leaking at 52,000. Fronts still seem ok.
zachman
I just installed "koni yellows", adjustable, sport strut. Recommened by Sam Strano. Great ride on lowered springs and 20 inch rims.
ilmor
My rear one started leaking at 52,000. Fronts still seem ok. Oh good, then I won't need any for 25 more years!

avoeltz
I had a leak on the passenger side rear at 11,000. Maybe one to many laps at Hallett. Replaced it with the same FRPP. Works great.
FordRocks1
Mine is making some weird noise on the Driver side rear when I go over bumps on the highway...I just hit 50k miles so I guess it's time.... Jer
Mine is making some weird noise on the Driver side rear when I go over bumps on the highway...I just hit 50k miles so I guess it's time.... Make sure it's not the middle 2 bushings on the rear swaybar. If those things get dry, it sounds like a rusty garden gate, even going slow over speed bumps. Hit 'em with WD-40, see if there's a difference. Jer
