The car has Borla long tube headers with an X pipe and at first I put on a set of FR500s mufflers ( M-5230-S ) but it was way loud - like 105db loud . Then I bought a Borla touring exhaust - quiet but because the mufflers sit at an angle the mid pipes were sitting just above the rear axle vents and it would hit . So now I have a stock set of mid pipes and a pair of "Bullitt" mufflers to try next ( M-55230-GTB ) Once I get the car running again ( rewiring the chassis right now ) I'll find out if they will work for the required 92 db limit that is stated in the rules and hopefully not have clearance issues .

Well the last two nights I have been helping KP putting the wiring and the dash , and just getting it ready for the track, then goining over the whole car just to make sure. :)

Check out the pic's and enjoy. Cheers JJ.

I thought that you might - just wait until you see the rest of the Shelby Performance Parts that are incorporated into the build . I was thinking on bringing it down to Vegas and get a picture of it in front of the Speedway location ( it's birth place ) before the move or for the grand opening if you want .

Looking good. I really like the Jonblood wheels, there were several cars at Sonoma this past weekend running them. Kevin, Andy and I missed you on Sunday and the trunk monkey kept asking where's the guy with the pony tail. :yahoo:

I was there on Saturday - couldn't pull off the Sunday - leaving this Thursday to go run the GT500 @ PIR on Friday and then to Grabber's on Sat . Tell the trunk monkey that I'll see him on the 25th @ Laguna ( if he gets to go ) I might even bring the SGT for a break in session ( hopefully ) and I'll wear the ponytail hat . :D

Just got back from Grabber's PNW Meet and Greet along with a track day at Portland International Raceway and I have to meet up with the glass guy this afternoon to have him put the front and rear windows back in the car . So play time is over and it's back to work on the car ! :shoppingcart_:

Ok I finally got to sign on to the sight, and post some pic's, glass is back in the car and I started taking the plugs apart for the rear elec. harness to go through the rear bulk head.

not a hole bunch but you'll get the point. Cheers JJ

Looking absolutely fantastic! Love all the striping an lettering you have done! Congrats! So can you imagine doing this entire process in one week from delivery of complete driving road car to track ready? That is what Paul Brown's (RIP) Tiger Racing crew did when he received his first 5.0 to have ready for the first World Challenge race a few years ago. That was a feat!!

Whew - a week ! I've had to wait for some of the parts longer than a week . It would be nice to have the manpower , parts on hand , and the cash to pull something like that off . But I'll get there with it - I'm getting close ! It will look even better when it's done - and hopefully go as good !

I made some drop in plexiglass side windows for the car yesterday for the car . I'll see about getting some pics up . :dogwalk:

Well here come some pic's, been bussy inthe shop moving arround some things to make more room, finished getting the rear wiring harness to the trunk (which ment tacking all the plugs off, feeding the wires trough a 1 in hole then putting them all back together) :drop: KP has been workin on the drop in door windows ,and they came out pretty cool. Now to get them Grand fathered into the spec book......... :hysterical2: Here are some pic's. Cheers and enjoy JJ

As you can tell the side windows are just for keeping out the rain and/or the cridders while the car sits or is going for a ride on the trailer . I just didn't want to go out and sit down in the car and get a wet butt or find something worse on the seat ( if you know what I mean ) ! Since we are not allowed to have door windows on the track they just slide in / out - pretty basic . As always - THANKS JJ for posting the pics !
