Kevin Patten Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2013 Got the suspension / steering , brakes , tires / wheels , bodywork , and engine cooling system upgrades done on 07SGT2425 and took it down the street to start in on breaking in the rear end / gearset . Stopped by Cali_KR's place but his wife said he was out . ( probably buying another KR ) It was fun driving around Hollister with race suspension , quick release steering wheel and the MGW shifter - got to put on 500 miles on it and then install the exhaust system - do some club open tracks - then gut it for the cagework ! Kevin Patten Posted October 21, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 redneckgt and I went up to Thunderhill Raceway this weekend for the season finale and the raceways 20th anniversary . They also had the Illegen 4 hour enduro race which had some incredible cars in it . Filip from Cortex Racing was there with Kaiser Racing and Ryan from Jongbloed Racing Wheels was there also . David Ray from Hooked on Driving raced his SPEC MUSTANG ( former Mustang Challenge car ) to victory in the regional races and then was co-driving with Davey Jones in a car in the enduro ( but we didn't hang around for the full enduro - so I don't know how they did in the race ) The weather was ideal and the activities were entertaining . The park is expanding to add on another west section which will extend the outer track design from a 3 mile to a 5 mile distance. That makes for a long lap !!! 2 new SPEC MUSTANGS showed up to participate this weekend for the races so more are showing up ! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You should of came up for the festivities and brought the trunk monkey - they had lots for him too ( carnival games , popcorn and cotton candy machines , etc... ) . The Boss 302R that was in the race/enduro had HUGE brakes on it ! Maybe I'll catch you @ Turkey Bowl @ Laguna Seca on the 29th - I'm bringing at least one if not both SGT SPEC MUSTANGS .
