ITHERTZ66
I am putting the stock wheels on and am inclined to go with the stock Pirelli tires since they are still available and correct for my car. Is this a good choice of tire? Would there be a better tire for similar money for all around performance in the summer? I don't plan to use the car in the snow and mud but occasional rain is always a consideration. I will generally use this as a street car, but I am also interested in exploring some non-competitive autocross, road racing (driving school), and perhaps even try some drag racing. I would like to do all this without changing wheels/tires and still have some fun! Thanks for the suggestions.
JeffIsHereToo
When Ford designs the overall suspension they factor in the tires. Not to say there may not be better, also more expensive options, but it is a complete solution. Something to keep in mind.
JeffJ
I thought they were nice in the rentals that I had. They worked pretty well in a couple autocross events I ran back in the rental days in 2006 (oops...did I say that?). They rode well when I bought my car and drove from Indiana to Colorado, but that's all the more I ever drove on them. I switched to the razors right after that.
