Widest tire for Alcoa rear wheels

No mods on 315/35ZR20. Just mounted them up and hit the streets. No problems, no rubbing. Great grip. Still all smoke without traction control on but much more controllable.

 

My only complaint is that I think the lower profile would be better. I am running 315/35ZR20 and I think my 285/30ZR20 rode better

I have done a little searching around and I think the 20 inch is what makes it work. I have seen pictures of 18 inch rims that look way close. I have plenty of clearance.

I'm looking for tires for my Alcoas and want to run 315/35/20 NT05R. Did yours rub on the quarter panel or the inside? Mine arnt widened.

 

 

on the inside. even though tires use the same measuring scheme, i believe some brands and types may vary a little. i had nitto invos and they showed signs uf rubbing down to bare metal in one spot. i'm sure 30series or 305width would have resolved that issue as the rubbed area was pretty small.
