tim285401
Jer, What about having annual Shelby Remembrance Day. where some kind of timed engine revving ceremony or "drive your Shelby to work day" can be synced. I wont be in the country at the time, but still think it would be a good annual holiday for die hard Shelby owners and fans.
05mustangman
That would be awesome! Or even have maybe a little event at the Las Vegas facility as a memorial.
Jer
Most people will notice that SA was quiet today. We talked about Carroll's birthday, and what would be appropriate. For sure, we would NOT have any events tied to the sale of ANYTHING. No way we would have money tied to it in any way. The overwhelming sentiment was this: Carroll always asked to have his birthday minimized. He stated long ago that he wanted the Bash dates to have NOTHING to do with his birthday, for example. He always stated that the Bash was about the cars and their owners, not about him. So the team decided to give his birthday a quiet respect, and we all recognized it, but - as a company - we would have no special event of any type. It's more respectful if we all quietly reflect upon it as opposed to turning it into some type of event or attraction. Our ultimate respect was to be paid as people, as friends, not as a company.
