My Super Snake Has Made It To Production....wide body time!!

Recommended Posts

Car finally made it on a lift and the destruction has begun. 2012 SS CSM #84 w/all options except for the kicker upgrade.

Ill keep the pics coming...Im still undecided on the widebody, but it may well be put on after the bash. Time will tell.

Jim

Edit- Ordered the widebody conversion for it on Friday. Went with the black rims. :happy feet:

Do you know the exact date when yours was started. I kept looking in the background for ours setting on a lift. No luck. They should look just alike until our SS is sent to the paint shop. Keep posting pictures as will I. I have been told to expect a 120 day build. Ours was started about the fiest week of Nov.

How long did your car sit out there before it went into production?

A120 day build?

Lord I sure hope it doesn't take that long.

My 08 was shipped late January 2009 and was completed in time for the 427 race that year. (February 26, 2009)

Was actually told first of last month that they were ready for my 2013 as soon as I could get it out there. ( it was shipped to SAI mid December)

In the salesman's own words "we are moving these cars in and out at a really quick clip right now"

08SS; they are telling me up 120 days but probably will not take that long. They just want to be conservative on telling you it will be ready by a certain date.

Thanks for all the comments! Needless to say the more I hear from all of you, the more excited I get for this to be finished!! I more than likely will be flying out for a day to look at the WB conversion in person so I can make that call on my car. Just need to find the time...... B)

  • 2 weeks later...

I've got #77 delivered May of 2012-was ordered 12/18/11. She was in the speed shop for a suspension upgrade though. The waiting is the toughest part, but the delivery and first drive makes it all worthwhile! Congrats!

Awesome SS you got there, and thanks for the kind words! Believe you me, the wait is killer but the ride will be more so  . Out of curiosity, what kind of suspension upgrade did you go with?

We got news on around the 19th of jan. that our anniversary SS was finished. So it actually took 79 days from arriving in Vegas. Seemed like a long time but was a lot quicker then what I was told.
