Bdoss
Hi, I have a 2011 GT500 with less than 9000 miles which has started to decide the speed without my help. The RPM just goes up and up until I turn off the switch. It does not do this all the time and our local Ford dealer said they had never had this problem. Anyone with help will be appreciated. Thanks, Bruce Doss, 336-674-3328
IngotSilverSnake
First question is - does the car have any modifications and a non-factory tune? If so, that may be an issue. If not, it would seem to me that there should be a code in the computer that would identify the problem. In my experience, a bad throttle position sensor (TPS) could cause this type of problem. AndyGJ
Maybe he swapped the battery for one of the batteries from those "Run-away Toyota Prius" cars!! In all seriousness, I'll be interested to find out what the heck caused this to happen.... Andy.
