07SGT
any reason why we could not use 0W-20 rather than 5W-20 in the SGT? Since the majority of wear is when the engine is started this would allow a faster pumping of oil to critical parts. Thoughts?
07SGT
can we try this one more time? Will 0W-20 provide the same protection as 5W-20?

AstroDan
Although it probably would help at start-up, ultimately, you are going to run the engine extended... Mobil-1 5-20 Full Synth...
07SGT
well that is my question. Are not both 0w-20 and 5w-20 both 20 weight oils when they heat up. If so they should both render the same protection. Is that accurate? The 0 and 5 are only at start up and until the engine heats up. After that they are both 20 weight oils. AstroDan
The "w" number is the weight.
